Hi Nella, I’d suggest starting with No Ocean Too Wide to read the first part of the McAlister family’s story, then No Journey Too Far. For more English historical novels, I’d suggest the Governess of Highland Hall, and then the next two in that series. Visit my Book page for details on the books and easy order links.

Good Morning, Carrie! I have entered the contest and will be thrilled if I am one on the lucky winners! I received ‘No Ocean Too Far’ from one of the BHC members as a gift after sharing/sending some info that I had gathered in the UK that they could use in their museum in Eastern Ontario. My Great Grandfather and his 2 brothers were BHCs who came in the late 1800’s at different times, therefore separated. I have my Great Grandfather’s file from Barnardos and from that traced all 3 and know that they found each other as adults – I knew my Great Grandfather but, had no idea that he was a BHC until my Dad mentioned it shortly before he passed away…..that’s when my juourney to discover them and their lives began!
