Holiday Lights and Cocoa Cookie Nights (Meg Easton I think) was a really fun short Christmas read.
Sleighed By the Farmer’s Daughter was fun too. (I could go on but that’s enough….)

I loved reading The Lost Boys of Barlowe Theater by Jaime Jo Wright this year. I usually don’t read this kind of book as I am not a big fan of duel time novels and I usually don’t read suspense, but I loved this book. My favorite character by far was Kit who is really relatable and funny. I also enjoyed the mystery which kept me guessing the entire time. I also really enjoyed A Convenient Christmas Wedding by Regina Scott which I finished just recently. This was a very sweet Christmas read and I look forward to reading the other books in the series, although you don’t have to read this series in order for the books to make sense. My favorite part of this book was the family. I love reading about large families that are very close because I am part of a family of nine (five sisters and one brother, plus my parents and I make nine).

My top read this year (well, one of them anyway) was Born of Gilded Mountains by Amanda Dykes. I recently indulged in Me before you by Jojo Moyes. It is by far one of the most raw and authentic romance novels I’ve read. Many books deal with tough issues but it feels as though they do not really have a true perspective on the difficulty of the person who experiences that issue but she’s able to capture it in such a way that you yourself are actually able to empathize with the character.

I just finished Charlotte Bronte’s classic novel JANE EYRE. It’s one of those books you *think* you’ve read because the plot is well known and there have been so many film versions. However, this time I listened to a very fine audio version while reading a print copy, and I was amazed at the literary skill of this young writer who died all too soon. The Christian content in the novel is more pronounced than in most faith-based titles today, and those memorable characters – oh my!
