May Giveaway for Readers

Hi Friends,

Each month this year I’m hosting a special giveaway for my newsletter subscribers. The email newsletter goes out every other month with book news, readers’ events, contests, recipes, and encouraging articles. I hope you’ll subscribe, and then leave a comment below to enter the giveaway. If you already subscribe, just mention that in your comment and I will put your name in the drawing!  The April winner was Janet Dowell.

The Christy Awards committee just announced the finalists for this year, so I’m giving away two book on that list. The first is Secrets She Kept by Cathy Gohlke. This amazing time-split novel tells the story of a daughter searching for answers about her mother’s involvement in WW2 Germany.  The second is The Wood’s Edge by Lori Benton. British settlers and Oneida tribe members cross paths on the New York frontier in the mid-1700s.  If you enjoy well written historical novels, then I think you’ll love these two books! Being Christy Award finalist is a huge honor, and I’m so happy for these author friends! Visit Cathy’s website for more info about her and her books, and visit Lori Benton’s website too!  This giveaway is for US readers only.

Blessings and Happy reading!

My TBR list is longer than Santa’s good children list at Holiday time, but I still see books I have to read every day. Thank you for the chance to win.

  9. I’ve ready Cathy’s book, Secret’s She Kept, and its amazing. Some much research must have gone into this book. So much I learned that I don’t remember ever studying before. Intriguing, well written. Would love to be able to give this book to someone as a gift so they too can enjoy Cathy’s writing.

Although I’ve heard of Lori Benton, I have not read any of her books. So, winning this book would be a great way to be introduced to her work.

  10. I fell in love with Lori Benton’s The Wood’s Edge, and I look forward to reading my first book by Cathy Gohlke! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  13. Both of these time periods are fascinating to me! My in-laws are from Germany, and I have a lot of German ancestry. I also find colonial history fascinating too, especially around the time of the American Revolution!

  14. Subscribed! When I saw both of those books nominated, I couldn’t believe someone would have to decide between them – both are incredible!
