A Man to Trust
After years spent helping run her family’s Christian bookstore, it’s time for Adrie Chandler to give her own dream a chance. But can she really trust the beloved shop and her grandmother to new manager Ross Peterson?
For years Adrie Chandler has longed to follow her dream of playing her flute in a symphony orchestra, but love for her grandmother has kept her in Fairhaven, Washington, where she has helped co-manage her grandmother’s small Christian bookstore. But when Ross Peterson applies for the job as the new manager, Adrie is not sure if she’s ready to turn the shop over to him. The man is too handsome, too charming . . . and too much a reminder of another dream Adrie had to let go of — marriage. Yet Ross surprises her by knowing a thing or two about making sacrifices. Suddenly, Adrie is questioning what she really wants. And whether the dreams she once thought unlikely are within reach after all.
A Man To Trust was originally published by Love Inspired in 2012. It has been revised and updated for new reading friends to enjoy.

More about the Series
A Man to Trust is the second book in the Bayside Treasure Series set in Fairhaven, the unique historical section of Bellingham, Washington. The first book in the series is Seeking His Love (February 2019). The third will be Snowflake Sweethearts (November 2019). Each book includes four senior-age friends, Marian, Hannah, Irene, and Barb, known around town as the Bayside Treasures. They are life-long friends, faithful prayer warriors, avid Scrabble players, and softhearted matchmakers. I hope you’ll enjoy watching as they unfold their plans to help younger friends and family members find lasting love.
In each book I include many Fairhaven businesses, events, and sites. In A Man To Trust you can look for mentions of Village Books, Katie’s Cupcakes, The Village Green, The Annual Salmon Bake, The Taylor Dock and South Bay Trail, The Mt. Baker Theater, The Bellingham Cruise Terminal, Dos Padres Restaurant, Skylarks, Chuckanut Drive, and Larrabee State Park.
I enjoyed researching Fairhaven! If you travel to North West Washington I hope you will stop in and visit our friends there. Here is a link to what’s happening in Fairhaven: fairhaven.com
